One beautiful pogača with Turkiš lokum 🙂
This pogača is inspirated from one traditional reciep from Strumica cooking.
Ingrediens
- 500g flour
- 1 dry yeast
- 1 small spoon sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 80 ml oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 250 ml milk
- 100g. Butter for coating
- 1 egg for coating
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 10-15 pieces of lokum
Preparation
Put yeast and sugar in warm water. Mix flour and other ingredients to soft dough kneaded.
Knead good and let to grow 1 hour.
Then cut into 4 parts. Each part made circle.
On first circle put butter and pieces of Turkish delight-lokum. Repeat the same with other circles, add over the other, but on last dont put nothing.
All 4 circles make like one long vertical.
Cut into strips, but not until the end. Now roll sideways, then roll like snail.
Again let to grow into greased pan or pot high.
When it is ready, coated with egg, put the poppy seeds and pieces of butter.
Bake in preheated oven first at 220 for about 15 minutes, but no more, and last 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
